Hey Friends!

May 2024-1.jpg

First of all, I love that you're here. Thanks for visiting my page and taking the time.

There are so many reasons why I became a doula but the two biggest reasons are my kids. I have two little girls and their birth stories were drastically different. After taking a step back and realizing that having a positive and empowering birth experience was possible, I knew I wanted to help others have the birth experience they desire. Both of my kids are reflected in my logo since they are the foundation of my business. My oldest daughter's name means "heart" and you might notice the heart on the tail end of Empowering You. My youngest daughter's name means "bringer of light" and you'll see a sunburst on my logo and most things I put out into the world on social media! PS. If you don't follow me, you probably should ;-) (links at bottom of this page)

My Loves

I've been married to my husband since 2016 and together we have two little girls and a Cardigan Welsh Corgi (yes, she counts, she's a high-maintenance diva. IYKYK!). I love to run and have used this love to raise funds for Hope Water Project, building clean water wells in Kenya, a cause I am very passionate about. I believe volunteer work is incredibly valuable and that we should use the resources we have (no matter what they are) to show love to others in the world. I have volunteered with North America for Ukraine, Hope Water Project, Disaster Relief At Work (DRAW), Community Impact Weekend and at various Senior Centers in my local area.

I also love to travel and have been to Uganda, Russia, Mexico, Canada and many places in the United States. I have led group trips for teens to serve communities all over the United States and although it can be exhausting, it's worth it 100% of the time.

One of my greatest loves is being a parent. In all of it's glory and messiness and chaos. Motherhood is beautiful and hard and challenging and wonderful and constantly changing. I love coming alongside others who are entering this journey, whether for the first time or fifth time, and being a constant support no matter what parenthood looks like. It's truly an honor I never take for granted.
