If you're looking for a no *BS* out-of-hospital Childbirth Education and/or Lactation Basics course, ya found it sis! Being educated in childbirth topics is not only empowering, it's absolutely essential. As corny as "knowledge is power" sometimes sounds, nothing truer has been said. I'm a HUGE advocate for comprehensive, un-biased, straight forward, evidence-based educational opportunities for pregnant peeps. So that's what you can expect my approach to be as an educator. Childbirth Ed.

This class has 3 virtual sessions and 1 in-person class. The virtual sessions are 2-hours each while the last class (in-person) is 3 hours in Troy, Michigan. If you are unable to attend the in-person class, a virtual option will be available. You will receive homework each week and an electronic folder of childbirth education material for continued learning. This class covers the following:

Lactation Basics

This class is a 2-hour virtual class and registration comes with an electronic homework folder. We know breast/chestfeeding is a learned skill, so set yourself up for success! In this class you will learn about:

How milk supply works
Latching mechanics
Feeding positions
What to expect in the early days
Newborn feeding cues
Ways to know if baby is getting enough
Common lactation troubles
Pumping and bottle feeding
